Saudi Arabia Legalisation and Attestation

If you are intending to use UK issued documents in Saudi Arabia, whether for business or personal use, then before they can be used in an approved manner in Saudi Arabia, they will be required to be attested by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia embassy in London. There are many variables to the process of legalisation based on your timeframe, document type and the purpose. As an accredited company, we can undertake the entire process for you including all notarisations, apostilles from the FCO, the Arab Chamber of Commerce certification and embassy attestations and legalisations.

We have helped thousands of customers, and with over 12 years experience we can advise and execute your legalisation process in the quickest, more reliable and cost effective process. Please see an overview of the process below and get started accordingly.

What documents are typically legalised:

Based on the type of document you have, there will be different legalisation steps required. The process is described below in the how it works section. The table below that gives the options based on the type of document type.

Reasons to use our Saudi visa service

The most important document that you will need is a MOFA – Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government Invitation is required.

The Saudi Arabia Documentation Legalisation Process – how it works:

Documentation Review

Have one of our Attestation experts check the documents so that we can review it and advise on the necessary steps as followed to undertake.

Solicitor and Notary Certification

Based on the instructions as per step 1,if required we will arrange for the documents to be notarised and certified by a London based Notary.

UK Apostille Addition

We will then go forward and have the document Apostilled by the foreign commonwealth office(FCO) in London or Milton Keynes.

Arab British Chamber of Commerce or Saudi Cultural Bureau Attestation

Should it be required, we will then proceed to take your documents to the ABCC and undertake the necessary at testation on a same day service.

Embassy and Consular Attestation

Once all the necessary steps as stated above have been listed, we will then undertake the final step and take your documentation for legalisation/ratification at the embassy in London.

Common FAQs

What is the difference between a Saudi Embassy Legalisation and Attestation?
There is little difference between the two. The words are interchangeable, and the work legalisation is more commonly used.
What is the difference between Apostille and attestation?
An Apostille is relevant to countries in the Hague Convention, where a public domain is stamped by the Foreign office of that country so that it can be used with another Hague convention country. If the country is not in the Hague convention, then the documents need to be notarised and also attested. We can offer all services related to this.
What is an attestation?
An attested document is when an authorised witness has monitored the acknowledgement of a formality, and the process is required to authenticate the process.
