If your current Saudi visa is still valid and you need a new one issued before your next trip, the embassy requires you to formally cancel the existing visa first. It is a short letter. Here is what it must say, and a template to copy.

When you need one
You need a cancellation letter when you already hold a valid Saudi visa (for example a current business visa) and are applying for a new one before the old visa expires. If your previous visa has already expired, you usually do not need this. Include a copy of the existing visa with your new application.
What to include
Addressed to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia (30 Charles Street, London W1J 5DZ):
- A clear request to cancel your current Saudi visa because a new visa is required before your next planned travel.
- Visa number of the existing visa.
- Expiry date of the existing visa.
- Passport number.
- Your wet-ink signature and printed name.
